Research:

Dr. Borg has been involved in studies on the structure and function of heart including development and the physiological response to injury. His studies focused dynamic interaction of cardiac myocytes and fibroblasts both in vitro and in vivo. His laboratory utilizes various types of electron microscopy including scanning, transmission and Gatan 3D view analyses. While being old, he can still focus and is a willing participant in a variety of cell biology studies on cell-cell and cell-extracellular matrix interactions.
