5070The epMotion 5070 is a 4-position automated liquid handler with three virtual positions to automate a wide array of liquid handling tasks. It is ideal for automation of qPCR, ELISA and other simple lab tasks that require a high degree of accuracy and reproducibility. The epMotion can pipette microliter volumes with < 1.9% imprecision, thus reaction volumes can be as little few microliters (pipetting range from 1 µl to 1,000 µl). Routine pipetting tasks can be automated with more precision and safety than manual pipetting. The epMotion platform lets the operator automate applications using all types of labware. The machine has 700 single-tube formats, well plates, and even unusual plastics such as real-time rotor tubes.

DynaGen Bioreactor System

dynagenDynaGen Bioreactor System is a third generation bioreactor that provides mechanical stimulation to tissue engineered constructs during growth. The system consists of Growthworks Control box, a Cole Parmer Masterflex L/S pump controlled by Digital Modular Drive, a 6Vr Lumegen Bioreactor Chamber and a 67Vr Pulsatile pump stimulator. The DynaGen bioreactors provide mechanical stimulation to three dimensional tissue engineered constructs to create physiological conditions in-vitro. The LumeGen system imparts pulsatile flow and pressure to a vascular conduit. Applications include the investigation of cell function and differentiation, pharmaceutical benchtop testing, and the seeding and growth of engineered tissues and medical devices.

Bose ElectroForce 3100 Test Instrument with WinTest Controls

3100The ElectroForce 3100 test instrument provides 22 N of linear force with 20 G acceleration and frequency response to 100 Hz. The high resolution transducer configuration combines a 250 gram force transducer, and a 1.0mm full scale (±500µm) displacement transducer, to enhance control resolution in force and displacement. The 3100 is useful in tissue mechanics research, micro-indentation of cartilage and other soft tissues, mechanical stimulation of tissue engineered constructs, and the dynamic mechanical analysis of tissues, elastomers and other soft materials.

INSTRON 5942 Low-Force Universal Testing System

te2000s5940 Single Column Testing Systems are commonly used for medical devices and biomaterials, textiles, elastomers, food, small components and microelectronics, wire, paper, and plastic film. Two key advantages of 5940 single column systems are their small footprint and frame stiffness. The superior stiffness and alignment of the 5900 load frames ensures precise alignment when testing everything from biomaterials to wire or plastic film. The rigid mechanical design guarantees the best possible conditions for repeatable test conditions and reliable results. Load measurement accuracy: ±0.5% of reading down to 1/500 of load cell capacity (2580 Series load cells); up to 1 kHz data acquisition rate simultaneous on load, extension, and strain channels; and speed range of 0.05 - 2500 mm/min (0.002 - 100 in/min). (MANUAL)

TA AR 1000 Rheometer

te2000sThe AR 1000 rheometer is a controlled stress/controlled rate rhemeter capable of handling many different types of samples, using a range of geometery sizes and types. The Torque Range is 0.1 micro Newton meters to 100 milli Newton meters. Depending on geometery, shear stress can be determined within the range of 0.0008 to 508,000 Pa. Angular displacement resolution is 0.62 microrads. The normal force range is 1 to 5000 g. A Peltier stage controls sample temperature from -10 to 99 degrees C, with a rate change of 20 degrees C per minute. (MANUAL) (Setup)
